I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
